Calibration

Wartmann Technologie AG performs the full range of calibrations at Europe’s largest calibration facility.

Please book early to make sure your annual calibration is performed in plenty of time. Calibration is carried out with the assistance of METAS calibrators. Calibrations take place on Thursdays.

The Swiss Federal Office of Metrology (METAS) establishes and communicates internationally agreed and recognized units of measurement with the required precision. It oversees the use of measuring equipment in commerce, transport, public safety, health and the environment. METAS monitors compliance with legal requirements by the Swiss cantons and authorized calibration bodies. Its activities are governed by the Swiss Federal Measurements Act (Bundesgesetz über das Messwesen). METAS performs a wide range of services for the general public, industry and research.

Volume and flow

With products such as fuels, quantity is measured in terms of volume or flow. Very large exchanged volumes demand precision measurement to protect all parties involved in a transaction. For this reason, METAS develops and builds precision measurement installations to international standards to perform calibration and conformity checks on industrial measuring equipment.
